The San Mateo Events Center and Ovations offer a variety of food and beverage options for the many type of events that take place at the venue. Ovations subscribes to the belief that fresh is always better. Therefore, you’ll never find pre-wrapped foods or stale food displays at the San Mateo Events Center. Though the term is a bit of a cliché in today’s society, Ovations has strict guidelines for what can be considered fresh. All of our foods start out from the highest quality ingredients, as we strive to purchase from local farmers and suppliers. These quality ingredients are then carefully scooped, grilled, tossed, poured and sautéed right in front of our customer’s eyes. It doesn’t get any fresher than that!
We have perfected the service of fresh cuisine fast by using specific food service equipment to deliver efficiency, capacity and quality. This means we can serve hot food, fresh off the grill and into the hands of our customers in the same time it takes to grab a pre-wrapped tired and soggy sandwich. Just because Everything’s Fresh™, doesn’t mean it takes longer!
Expo Café
The Expo Café has something for everyone including a make your own pasta station, fresh hot carving station, salads, BBQ, soup and other standard menu items. The variety at the Expo Café will satisfy even the heartiest of appetites.
American Grill
Let your nose lead you to the American Grill where fresh Angus burgers, veggie burgers, turkey burgers and chicken breasts will be sizzling over the charbroil grill. Maybe you’re more in the mood for a hot dog, fries, chicken tenders, or a corn dog…..the American Grill is your place!

If healthier or lighter fare is what you’re after, visit Chef Express for Deli Sandwiches, Soups, Salads, and plenty of delicious sides to compliment. For a little bit of a splurge, choose from nachos, churros and a variety of other snacks to accompany your meal.
